Nashville Adam and Tom Pang LIVE Thursday @ Bubba’s Hong Qiao

The fantastic musical duo of Adam Brooks (Nashville based singer/songwriter) and Tom Pang (mandolin, and now last week we learned he plays a mean violin) are back for another great evening of live music at Bubba’s Hong Qiao this Thursday from 6 p.m.

Happy Chinese New Year from Bubba’s!

This holiday is not over yet folks….and tonight is gonna be another loud one as the Year of the Dragon brings us another explosive night of fireworks dedicated to the God of Fortune. I think we’ll blast off a box or two at Bubba’s tonight to do our part in bringing Chinese New Year to a nice ending and hopefully bring us lots of luck this year!

Join us this Wednesday for an intimate live music session with Nashville singer/songwriter Adam Brooks, who’ll be joined this week by mandolin player extraordinaire Tom Pang, for a special Happy Hour set from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Now that we are officially into December and the last of the Thanksgiving turkey is making its way into sandwiches, we are gearing up for a big Christmas of private parties, dinner take-out packages, and eat-in dining reservations.

New Spanish Baby Back Ribs Debut at Bubba’s!

If you’ve been into Bubba’s lately, you might have noticed we’ve changed up our ribs again in our quest to continuously find the best possible meat to put in our smoker for the best possible results on the plate.  I’ve always said…good in, good out…in terms of quality when cooking Texas-style barbeque. 

That said, our new Spanish-imported baby back ribs are all natural, meaty, and lean.  So far they’ve been a crowd pleaser and my personal favorite over the six years we’ve been open at Bubba’s!

NCAA Tailgate Schedule….It’s a Bowl Game in November!

This weekend we get the opportunity to see #1 face off against #2 as LSU travels to Birmingham to take on rival Alabama.  The hype is huge (around 600 media passes have been applied for) with the winner getting an inside track to the National Championship BCS Game.

Sixth Annual Chili Cook-off is a Wrap!

The pots have cooled and the hangovers have subsided, and this year’s Annual Shanghai Chili Cook-off is in the books as one of the best ever!  We had over 1,000 patrons attend the event where 27 teams faced off in a chili duel that ended with Team Tabasco (Chef Tabasco, Clay Roup, and Mike Marriott) not only taking top honors for the third year in a row from the judge’s category, but also gaining respect from the crowd with the People’s Choice crown for the best chili.
