NFL Playoff Action Continues!

There were some great games last weekend in the NFL and some major surprises!  Don’t miss a play as the action continues this coming weekend with the Conference Championship games, with Bubba’s opening on Monday, January 23rd, so you don’t have to miss a play!

Back, By Popular Demand…Bubba’s CNY Hold ‘em Tournament!

Second Annual Barbeque Cook-off and Fun Run on the Bund

It’s that time of year again to put this one on the calendar as an event not to be missed.  In the first event of its kind last year, we nearly eclipsed the crowd at our popular Chili Cook-off with Shanghai’s First Annual Barbeque Cook-off.  This year, scheduled for May, we’ll be smoking and grilling meats on the Bund at our new Riverside location and plan to add in a few more features that we hope will become traditions at this annual event.  These include:

• A mid-morning 5k Fun Run on the Bund to shed those few extra pounds in preparation for all the barbeque about to be consumed; and

• A full-on rib eating contest to see who can put down the most ribs in 60 seconds!  To qualify, interested contestants just need to visit each Bubba’s location to eat ribs (minimum order of 2 racks but no time limit) at which point they’ll get the details on the contest in May.  Contestants will get complementary t-shirts, entry into the barbque cook-off event, with the winner getting their name engraved onto a plaque at Bubba’s.  More details on this after CNY so stay tuned!

Get Ready for The Beast @ Bubba’s

Imagine the ultimate barbeque sandwich…it’s a Bubba’s Favorite Bacon Cheese Burger topped with lettuce, tomato, onion rings, fried chicken tenders, slow smoked brisket, pork shoulder, coleslaw, and barbeque sauce on a toasty sesame seed bun….but weighing in at a whopping 2.1 kg.  It’s enough to feed a family of four for several days, but do it on your own, within an hour, and it’s not only free but you’ll get a free “I Tamed the Beast at Bubba’s” t-shirt and we’ll put your name down as one of the few that can take down a masterpiece, bite by bite.  We’ll start this promotion up in earnest after CNY, but until then, I need a few “suckers” to give it a try so I can get a grasp on the success and/or failure rate!   Any takers?  E-mail me for details!

Holiday Meats to Go

Don’t forget Bubba’s can vacuum pack any of our smoked meats for you to enjoy over the holidays or at anytime of year as long as you keep it frozen prior to eating.  Reheating is simple as boiling the bag in some hot water, or defrosting the packaging and warming the product in a microwave or oven.  We can also do hams, turkeys, and practically any other meat you desire with only a few days notice.  E-mail me for details!
