If the answer is YES, then help Bubba’s kick-off the NCAA season this Friday evening with a same day delayed broadcast of USC vs Hawaii at 6 p.m.! Then, on Sunday come enjoy three nice games to kick-start our annual Every-Sunday-Tailgate-Party with games starting at Noon in the following order:
Miami @ Florida (noon)
Texas @ Rice (no earlier than 2:30)
Oregon State @ TCU. (no earlier than 5 p.m.)
If the pro game is more your style, Bubba’s will feature a premier Sunday game on Monday evenings and the Monday night game on Tuesday evenings. On both days, games will start at 6:30 p.m. We also will have games in archive for the full season, so we will try and honor all requests for special game and day broadcasts for the entire season. The system is working great and the pre-season games have been really nice to watch.
In fact, the NFL has chosen Bubba’s to host its annual kick off party where four cheerleaders from the San Diego Chargers will join us for an evening of fun on Thursday, September 9, from 7 to 9 p.m. There will be special dance performances, picture taking, and autographs for all in attendance. Then, the following day, Bubba’s will premier the opening game between the Vikings and the Saints at Noon and again at 6:30 p.m.
Bubba’s Fifth Annual Shanghai Chili Cook-off…Sept 18, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Fifth Annual installment of this hugely popular “street party” is approaching fast and we already have more than 20 teams signed up to compete for Best Chili in Shanghai. I suspect we’ll have perhaps 25 before it’s all said and done, and then it’ll be game on with cold beer, activities for the kids, a corn hole tournament, live music, raffle prizes, and all you can sample chili throughout the day. Gates to the public open at 11 a.m. (adults 100 rmb and children under 12 free). Each entry ticket is one vote for your favorite chili, which goes toward the People’s Choice Vote as well as all you can sample chili until the pots run dry. Proceeds from the event will benefit Shanghai’s Heart-to-Heart charity which provides aide to children requiring medical procedures for the heart.
