On the newly opened Line #10, Bubba’s is a short walk West of the Long Xi Lu station exits. Line #10 cuts through through key areas like Xujiahui, Xintandi, People’s Square, before finally traveling up North of the Bund area.
In fact, you can take this to the special Expo train and get to our second location in the Expo Village. Entrance to this area has gotten less rigid lately, so when not drop into Bubba’s Pudong where you’ll find the same great food and atmosphere, along with pool, darts, or foosball if that’s your game, or just relax after a day at the Expo fighting the crowds. You will need a copy of your passport to enter this special zone, but heck…you also need a copy of your passport to get to Texas so why not drop on in and check out our newest location.
Bubba’s Fifth Annual Shanghai Chili Cook-off…Sept 18, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Fifth Annual installment of this hugely popular “street party” is approaching fast and we already have more than 20 teams signed up to compete for Best Chili in Shanghai. I suspect we’ll have perhaps 25 before it’s all said and done, and then it’ll be game on with cold beer, activities for the kids, a corn hole tournament, live music, raffle prizes, and all you can sample chili throughout the day. Gates to the public open at 11 a.m. (adults 100 rmb and children under 12 free). Each entry ticket is one vote for your favorite chili, which goes toward the People’s Choice Vote as well as all you can sample chili until the pots run dry. Proceeds from the event will benefit Shanghai’s Heart-to-Heart charity which provides aide to children requiring medical procedures for the heart.
For team and/or judge entry and applications, please visit www.bubbasasia.com for details. Rules and regulations are also located on our website.
NFL Kick-off Event at Bubba’s with NFL Cheerleaders
We all know where Ground Zero is in Shanghai for American sports…Bubba’s! And now the NFL knows it as well as they have chosen Bubba’s to host a kick off party to the 2010 NFL Season…a party featuring four cheerleaders from the San Diego Chargers! This event will take place Thursday, September 9, from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. The girls will perform to several songs, as well as take pictures and sign autographs during the evening. We will offer all you can eat barbeque for 100 rmb as well as our Happy Hour until 8 p.m. This is one night not to miss!
NCAA Football and NFL at Bubba’s
That said, both Bubba’s locations will once again be showcasing NCAA football during our Sunday Tailgate Parties. Stay tuned for schedule details, or feel free to email me with special requests. So, it’s college football on Sunday, followed by NFL on Mondays and Tuesdays; however, we can and will show games throughout the week and I also will maintain an archive of games to watch on demand at Bubba’s. Just send me an email to plan ahead or ask a manager to put a game on. Either way is no problem.
As always….see you at Bubba’s!
