Slovenia vs USA live @ Bubba’s Tonight! No Cover!
Join the “USA team” in Shanghai tonight at Bubba’s to watch the second group match for the Americans as they take on Slovenia. The game kicks off at 10 p.m. immediately following our FREE margaritas for the lady’s tonight, which should get them nice and ready for this all important match. The USA really needs a win to help get to the next round and I think their confidence must be pretty high following the draw to England last week. We’ll also be showing the Germany vs Serbia game which starts at 7:30 p.m. So…..why fight the crowds at some of the “known” soccer bars in town (and pay the high prices) when Bubba’s offers a great spot to watch sports at reasonable prices. When you combine that with our excellent food, I think we’re kinda hard to beat…which is probably why I don’t get out much!
Texas-style July 4th Barbeque and Music Festival @ Bubba’s
Mark this one down as “not to be missed” as Bubba’s celebrates American Independence Day and our fifth year of serving customers Texas barbeque here in Shanghai. This year’s party will be bigger than ever featuring live music from Lone Star Wind and The Dark Roast, an all-out winner’s take all Cornhole Tournament, a Golden Tee tournament with prizes, and cold beverages and barbeque to satisfy the masses. We’ll also be featuring some of the top imported micro brews from the USA and Australia, and will be launching our newest barbeque product: Texas-style Smoked Sausage. Come join us for a fantastic day at Bubba’s.
Fifth Annual Chili Cook-off Slated for September 18th
I don’t need to elaborate too much on this as it already has become a Shanghai institution. This being our Fifth Annual event, we’ll be shooting for close to 1,000 people in attendance and more than 20 teams competing, including hopefully some of the top chefs serving customers in their home-country pavilions at the Shanghai Expo. The day’s festivities will once again feature live music, cold beers, and all the chili you can handle until the pots run dry. Entry forms, rules, and judge requests will be issued soon so stay tuned!
Hop on Line #10 for our Daily Lunch and Dinner Specials
If you haven’t been to Bubba’s to take advantage of some of our generous specials for lunch and/or dinner, I encourage you to come out and try them all. With Line #10 now open and operational (although still in test phase) it is easier than ever to get to our restaurant. The Longxi Lu stop is only a minute or so walk from our front door, and in fact, those wishing to take either Line #2 or Line #9 are only short taxi rides away from barbeque heaven. The Line #2 stop that’s closest is Beixinjing Lu and the Line #9 stop that’s closest is Caohejing High Tech Park stop, which is also Hong Mei Lu. Both are only 12 to 15 rmb taxi rides away from Bubba’s.
Catering! I Want Your Catering!
We’ve been doing more and more catering for our customers and we’re getting really really good at it. If you have space for a barbeque party and want us to handle the nitty gritty parts, please feel free to call me to talk over plans.
