Rocking at the Expo!!

Hello fans of Bubba’s! First item of business…..we are open and rocking in the Expo Village. I’ve already met a number of cool cats in the new location, those guys and gals working on the pavilions inside the Expo getting them ready for May Day. Things are looking great over there, and many customers are anxious to see our new place but I need to explain how this will work before you start emailing me back to make reservations: Bubba’s new location is in the Village where the workers, VIPs, and Heads of State will stay during their visits to Shanghai and the Expo. As such, it is under pretty tight security which will last at least until the Expo wraps up this coming Fall.

It might be that things will relax a little after the Expo is open and processes are smoothed out, at which point we will be more than happy to get customers inside the gates and into our new location. It features dozens of flat screen TVs, a pool table, darts, a brand spanking new Southern Pride Smoker, and about 550 sq meters of prime party space. We are in decoration mode, so if you have something that might be useful to hang on the wall, please drop into Bubba’s Hong Qiao and put it into the donation box.

Up next….sports and lots of it. We are in the mist of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the NBA Playoffs, and the beginning of Major League Baseball. Too much for a schedule really, but we have the sports packages that show many of these games live and also replay them throughout each day. If you have something special you’d like to see, please just email me and I will do my best to get it on for you or tell you when it will be broadcast here in Shanghai.

Finally, come on out to the Shanghai Zoo on Sunday and enjoy the festivities of Earth Day 2010. Bubba’s is once again one of the featured catering companies and we’ll be serving up hamburgers, hotdogs, smoked pork ribs and cold beverages. The food section for the Earth Day is located in the Rainbow Bridge School grounds behind the zoo….so if you make your way to Earth Day (the weather looks like it will be fantastic), and you find yourself craving one of our fantastic burgers, come on back to the food section and find me at the Bubba’s booth!
