Spring Madness

Wow, after a couple weeks of really miserable weather I think we're finally turning the corner toward spring. I sure hope so, I need some HOT Texas weather badly.

This week marks basketball conference championships, which will end on Saturday preceding the Sunday selection of teams for the big showdown tournament.

We'll show games starting Saturday morning from Friday's semi's, and then on Sunday for the Conference championships. I hate to commit to specific games because ESPN will jump around so much, but we're set to watch some live and some recorded. I will follow the same formula in the past where early games will be shown first so as not to spoil the later games.

We'll kick this off in earnest on Friday night and continue games through Sunday afternoon. I will try and get a better fix on specific times tomorrow and send out one more short and sweet e-mail. Here's projected schedule for some of the games:

Friday, 4 p.m. -- Big 10 Northwestern vs Indiana
Friday, 6 p.m. -- Big 12 Texas or Iowa State vs Baylor

Saturday, 11 a.m. -- Big 10 Ohio State vs Mich or Iowa
Saturday 1 p.m. -- Big 10 Wisconsin vs Illinois
Saturday 4 p.m. -- Big East Semi Finals
Saturday 6 p.m. -- Big East Semi Finals Game 2

Sunday Noon -- Big Ten Championship
Sunday 2 p.m. -- Big 12 Championship
Sunday 4 p.m. -- Big East Championship
