9/25 Week IV NCAA & Chili Cookoff Updates
Submitted by Bubbas on Thu, 09/24/2009 - 1:08pmWe'll kick off this weekend's games with a Thursday night game between #4 Mississippi and S. Carolina as I know at least ONE ol Miss fan here in Shanghai. We'll put that up on the TVs on Friday afternoon at 4 p.m.
On Sunday, which for some might be a work day, we'll have the following games:
1 p.m. Illinois at #13 Ohio State (if blow out at half time, we'll switch to #9 Miami at #11 Virginia Tech)
4 p.m. Texas Tech at #17 Houston (this should be a shoot out)
9/19 NCAA Schedule Update
Submitted by Bubbas on Sat, 09/19/2009 - 10:19amHey football fans, slight change in the schedule for Sunday. We will not show the USC vs Washington game at 1 p.m. because it it not broadcast in football headquarters (Texas).
Instead, at 1 p.m. we will start with Florida vs Tenn and if that turns into a wash we can switch to Nebraska vs VT.
The Texas game will follow the early game, say around 4 p.m.
Don't forget about our live broadcast of the Cowboys vs Giants game on Monday morning at 8 a.m.
Hook em...see you tomorrow. KJ

NCAA Starts THIS WEEKEND!
Submitted by Bubbas on Fri, 09/04/2009 - 8:45amIt's finally that time of year again folks. The NCAA football season officially starts this weekend and Bubba's will again be ground zero for watching the biggest games from across the country. This Sunday's tailgate party will feature specials on barbeque and cold refreshments, with the following matchups on the big screens:
1 p.m. -- #13 Georgia vs #9 Oklahoma State
4 p.m. -- #5 Alabama vs #7 Virginia Tech
Now listen, if you want to spoil your fun and go on the internet to see the scores, please don't stroll into Bubba's wearing your team jersey and a big smile on your face. We don't wanna know scores and we don't talk scores on this day, so stay away from your computer and come down to join the party!
As always, see ya at Bubba's,
KJ
NCAA Football in September
Submitted by Bubbas on Fri, 08/14/2009 - 7:44amMy favorite time of the year is quickly approaching! And from the phone calls, messages, and e-mails I’m receiving, I know many of you are also anticipating what’s coming up: NCAA tailgate parties at Bubba’s and our very own Fourth Annual Shanghai Chili Cook-Off.
As for NCAA Football, Bubba’s will once again be ground zero for all you fans that want to follow the season from beginning to end, with two or three major games featured each Sunday (we’ll call this same day delayed). We’ll show them in progression based on their scheduled times in the U.S., so you will not be exposed to any later scores during games. To that point, if you are coming to watch at Bubba’s, please refrain from checking scores on the internet Sunday mornings and don’t talk scores inside Bubba’s if you do.
I’ll send a weekly e-mail to inform what games we’ll be playing and at what times, but to wet your appetite here are our plans for the first few weeks of the season:
Sunday, Sept 6
2 p.m. #13 Georgia vs Ohio State
6 p.m. #5Alabama vs #7 Georgia Tech
Sunday, Sept 13
8 a.m. (LIVE) #4 USC @ Ohio State
2 p.m. #23 Notre Dame v Mich
6 p.m. replay of USC/OSU game
Sunday, Sept 20
2 p.m. Texas Tech @ #2 Texas
As usual, if you have a special request on a game I am more than open to taking suggestions. This includes NFL coverage, which we’ll showcase each Monday and Tuesday evenings.
