Join the Bubba's race team this coming Sunday for a day at the track to enjoy the Shanghai Grand Prix. For 200 per person you will get transportation to and from the track, cold beer/water on the bus, and lunch featuring Bubba's special smoked and stacked ham sandwich. So far, the weather forecast looks positive with clouds, 18C, and no rain expected.

At the track we will meet up with the good folks from Just Beer and their party bus patrons for a little tailgating fun....have a few beers, share some laughs, and play cornhole until the race starts.

Just a quick note that Bubba's will open for the live game between Butler and Duke on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m., and we'll also do a same day delayed replay at 6 p.m.

It's also a big week for the Bubba's family as it looks like we'll start pouring beers and sizzling some burgers at our new location in the Expo Village. Many of you have expressed interest in checking out our new spot, so just let us get our feet solid on the ground and we'll organize some type of party bus trip to Bubba's II.

Four teams....three games. That's what we've been getting up early for, cutting out of work to catch replays, and shedding tears over brackets a' broken. Congrats to fans of Mich State, Duke, West Virginia, and Butler. WHO??? ha ha

Spring is definitely here. I know because I'm really starting to get itchy about firing up the Texas pit smoker in front of Bubba's and give about 50 pounds of meat some tender loving care! And now that the construction in front of Bubba's is about cleaned up, the outdoor atmosphere is going to be much better! That's line 10 folks if you're wondering, and it stops right in front of our restaurant practically.

Wow. Texas made it in. I am backing off my earlier predictions of a Final Four appearance. Chris I think I owe you a 100 rumba. Now that we are back to reality, let the games begin....

Bubba's will be ground zero for your March Madness cover starting with our opening round ALL NIGHTER this Thursday night. Catch first round action from midnight until the sun comes up at Bubba's. The bar will be open with our ALWAYS LIVE HAPPY HOUR, and the kitchen will be open with pub grub specials. Come join the first round excitement!

Wow, after a couple weeks of really miserable weather I think we're finally turning the corner toward spring. I sure hope so, I need some HOT Texas weather badly.

This week marks basketball conference championships, which will end on Saturday preceding the Sunday selection of teams for the big showdown tournament.

By the way, I am writing this from a very sunny spot in the Philippines where I am sort of stuck on a visa issue....but don't worry....I will just have another pina colada....with a floater....and think of all you guys in dreary Shanghai.

Happy Chinese New Year to all the wonderful customers of Bubba's Barbeque. It's been a great year for us, having celebrated more than three years of operations and now entering our expansion phase with the imminent opening of our second location in the Expo Village. As for opening hours over the holiday, we will remain open this entire holiday weekend but will close on Monday, February 14, for one day.

In fact, do it this coming Monday when we open the doors for our Fourth Annual Super Bowl Party starting at 6 a.m. We'll do our now "traditional" LIVE GAME HAPPY HOUR with 25 rmb draughts, house pours, and since it's morning...Bloody Mary's. Combine that with some of our roadhouse style breakfast tacos and you have the best venue in town to watch this year's game.

We just HAVE to do it! And we're gonna do it! It's the match up of the playoffs this year and Bubba's will open for a LIVE broadcast of the Vikings @ Saints with kickoff scheduled for 7:40 a.m. on Monday morning. So....come do a "test run" of the early Monday morning Super Bowl party at Bubba's and join us for our traditional LIVE GAME HAPPY HOUR and wonderful Texas-style soft tacos.
